A Sunny Disposition

A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance.

My daughter and I have been going through Beautiful Girlhood,
a sweet character building study for Mothers and Daughters.
This has been a special time for us as we sit and have tea
and read from the book as well as scripture
pertaining to the discussion. It has blessed us.

My girl is now 10 and on her way to woman hood before we know it. I must confess some of these days are not the easiest. Some people call it hormonal. I think it is a part of us screaming out we need a gentle nudge, loving hands, patience, character building and consistency. Freckles is sweet by nature, yet we find her in uncheerful attitude sometimes. It is disheartening at times. Yet, with a loving reminder of who she is in Christ and her duties at home soon turns her in the right direction once again. This has taken much patience and consistency. We have always reminded her to do all things to glorify God and to keep a smile on her face while cheerfully doing her tasks. Sometimes I admit it is hard to do depending on the circumstances at hand.We all have our own share of bumps in life. Everyday we will meet with circumstances in which we have the choice between frowning or smiling. But always needing a reminder live in the sunshine and to look on the bright side, no matter how we are situated in life, we can find something to be thankful for. if you can pass through these bumps and keep SWEET, you have mastered the art of being SUNNY.
 This goes for everyone!

Here are some scripture application verses to look up...
This goes the same for everyone in the household:
Benefits of a joyful heart.

Proverbs 14:30
Proverbs 15:13
Proverbs 15:15
Proverbs 15:30
Proverbs 17:22

Every girl owes it to herself  and her associates to be Sunny.
A happy girlhood is so beautiful that it cannot be spoiled by needless frowns and pouts. There are clouds enough in life making them out of temper. A girl who is full of smiles and sunshine is a fountain of joy to all who know her. the world has enough tears and sorrow at best, and a girl's sweet, smiling face can scatter untold clouds.

Excerpt taken from Beautiful Girlhood.

Smiles and gladness are like sweet peas in that the more
you gather and give away the more you have.
 Leave your sweet peas on the vines, and the flowers are soon gone;
but gather them closely each day and they will blossom
the more and last the summer through

"Good temper, like a sunny day sheds a brightness over
everything; it is the sweeter of toil and the soother of disquietude."
Washington Irving

"What sunshine is to flowers, smiles are to humanity.
They are but trifles, to be sure, but, scattered along life's pathway, the good they do is inconceivable."
Joseph Addison

Hope your having a Sun shiny Day
