Outdoors...

This weeks Outdoor Challenge was going to a farm just 7 miles from our home. I love the fact that we can drive just minutes to the country. As one of our favorite Autumn activities we enjoy going to local farms and spending some time with the animals. We also went through their corn maze...fun!!! As I said in my previous post... Autumn is my favorite season.... even though we are still going through a heat wave... God never ceases with His creation... Trees just know it is their time to change.... It's just amazing!

We spent most of our time with these goats.
They were utterly sweet and funny. They were curious little creatures.

Well, maybe it was just that they were begging for the treats. this little guy was pretty desperate to lick out what crumbs she could find from the machine...It's not like they were malnourished...They were all plump and had mounds of hay to eat. They just wanted their candy!

One of the sweetest moments was hand feeding the little kid...She was adorable...
I wanted to pack her in my purse and take her home,
but surely I would have been caught.

Their Tom was ugly yet cute at the same time... He was HUGE!
Bet he would make a great Thanksgiving feast.... The cool thing is he allowed us to pet him...but gobble gobbled at us at the same time. Freckles was a little scared of him since he was fluffing up his feathers which made him two times his size...I guess he looked intimidating...

How about this guy...
 I see a striking resemblance...Don't you?

Next we spent some time with the ponies.....
They are so rootin' tootin' sweet!

but not as sweet as this little girl...A soft fuzzy wuzzy bunny wabbit...
so cuddly and darling... It was a highlight of our trip really!!!
Who wouldn't want to snuggle a baby bunny?

This is just one of the many trips we will be taking this coming season... It was a wonderful day outdoors on the farm with  two of my favorite people!
So as I close I will leave you with the fuzzy bunny...
Everyone say...AWWWWW!

  1. Farm visits are the best! There is an ice cream farm near to us. Well, it's actually a dairy farm, but they make and sell their own homemade ice creams there in a cafe and they have a petting zoo and rescued birds and animals. It's a really fun day to go to the Ice Cream Farm!
