The Happiest Place On Earth!

Our friend recently invited us to go to Disneyland for a day out with the girls. To top it off she was able to get Freckles & I into Disneyland & California Adventure for FREE! It was a blessing in disguise... since Freckles had really wanted to go for her birthday back in August... Disney is not affordable so we didn't go at the time. So, with such a generous offer we jumped on the invitation. 

Way back in the day as a teen, I grew up for a time in Anaheim...Just blocks from Disneyland... I was a Disney local who went just about every weekend with friends. Freckles got to go for the first time when she was two, but sadly she doesn't even remember the trip. So this was like going to Disneyland for the first time. She was so excited.

 

We went into Disneyland's park first... and went on several rides there. Freckles was not a fan of the fast coaster type of rides though. Her fave was actually the slow going magical Peter Pan ride in the boat. That was totally fine with me too!

 

After a few hours there we walked on over to California Adventure.
 I loved the boardwalk theme.

 

It was pretty fun there...
The ultimate faves were the Rapids ride and Soaring Over California.
 I got completely soaked on the rapids which left me wet all afternoon.
 Oh well, it kept me cool in the heat of the day.

 They are.

It was the perfect way to end the Summer.
 We walked miles and got blisters on our feet, was soaked to the bone, stayed for the light show at almost midnight, which was pretty awesome I might add, spent the day with good friends...We laughed, we cried, we conquered. memories were made never to fade... It was a happy day despite I wore the wrong shoes...I learned the hard way. It was still fun.
