  2. Dear Mica! I know you will do well with your sale! Hubby doesn't get paid for another week, or I would hop over there and take a peek. :) Your creations are gorgeous! Thank you for the lovely comment on my blog sweetie! I am so glad you have your great grandmother's featherweight! What a treasure that is! I love that she sewed all her on clothing in the 50's. Those ladies were truly incredible seamstresses! You will get tickled at this, but my dear hubby has to thread my featherweight for me! I really must learn how to! I asked him about your tension and he said, first of all, make sure your machine is oiled well! Then, is it breaking from the top thread or the bottom thread? If it is the bottom, then it is the shuttle. The thread could be caught in there, or there is a screw to adjust the tension on the shuttle. If it is from the top, that is just an adjustment that you need to make with the tension knob, or it could be old thread caught in the machine. He also said to make sure you are threading it correctly. You can search on the web for directions how to thread it. There is a website full of information and diagrams just for our little featherweights. If I can find the link I will be happy to send it to you! Please let us know if any of this works, as we would love for you to be able to use and enjoy it again! Have a lovely Friday and weekend! Hugs, Paula
