Teatime Tuesday~ Apple Picking At Gizdich Ranch

Happy Tuesday!
It's Tea Time again!
Today I pulled out some of my Apple Cinnamon Tea....Yummy and perfect for an Autumn afternoon. Especially after coming home from a morning adventure at a farm/ranch. Freckles and I drove over the hills to Gizdich Ranch to pick apples. I knew we were cutting it pretty close by coming so late in the season...There was really nothing to pick....You could however purchase apples already picked in their market. We made a time of it anyways and walked around the farm and the apple orchard.

We enjoyed a little pastry and the Gizdich Ranch award winning apple juice...
It was so good...Like drinking the apple from a bottle.

Just take a look at their apple pies!!!!
3 pounds of apples in this sucker!!!

Now to make some goodies!!!
Now that's what I'm talkin' about!
Thanks for popping in today...It was short but sweet.

Happy Independence Day

My friend Viv and I did another swap together. She sent me this cute Patriotic Mouse...So cute it reminded me of my childhood pet rat named Sammy. A sweet lil guy who lived almost five years. He was trained to come by name and would walk around the house and sit on my shoulder. I cried for a good year over his death....So this mouse/rat that Viv sent will forever be special to me.

We didn't make any huge plans for the fourth...Freckles and I were a little under the weather and to be honest we just didn't want to be out in the crowds. My hubby and a friend from church drove his vintage Ford Falcon along with a few gals from church in the town parade to advertise our church in the community. Then later that day we went to a BBQ at our church friends home. We cut out a bit early since Freckles was home with our dog...Then of course the fireworks started and freaked out K9 out till almost midnight.

Hope you all had a great day celebrating the birth of our nation. May God bless America, especially more so, with all the horrible things going on in our country.
Happy Summer!!!

What We Did On The Fourth...

I know this is a little late and I am behind on posting. But here is a little glimpse of what we did on the Fourth. My girl posed for a little Patriotic Portrait with our Good Ole' American flag before we headed over to a couples home for a BBQ.

They made a delicious BBQ with fixins and appetizers. We brought over strawberry shortcake and ice cream. It was a lovely evening eating outdoors and fellowshipping with one another. We didn't see any fireworks but did hear them all around us. Thats okay since we are not really into huge crowds and traffic. We are blessed to have spent the evening with this sweet couple.

They were the very first people to talk to us when we arrived for our first visit before Mr. Darlings internship began here in San Jose. From there, we have always felt a connection with them. We have had dinner with them on numerous occasions...They are keepers for sure. I adore them.

It was a great Fourth!!!
