Cooking Up Memories...........

Kelli from There is no place like home is hosting Show & Tell Friday's. Stop by her blog to join in the fun!!!
My little girl loves to cook !!! She always begs to cook something up. Well, she has her favorites, as well does my Son. He likes cooking a little too!!! he really makes mean Chicken Fingers.
I wanted to share our newest project. The family Cookbook.

I bought a regular scrap book with clear sleeves, perfect for cooking... you won't mess the pages. We decorated the cover a bit and Voille , were cooking up memories already.

Miss Bri wrote out her favorite Crepe recipe, as we added pictures and embellishments to the page. More pages will be worked on as we cook away all our favorites.

Memories such as thes are truly priceless !!!

Thank you for sharing this moment with us.

  2. Awwwwwwwwwww, this is great for your Show N Tell this week. I enjoyed reading about it, very much.

Mine this week, isn't much but something I captured in the sky one morning, early this week. And wanted to share with the Show n Tell.

  4. Great minds think alike! I too made a scrapbook with all our favorite recipes along with recipes and photos of some of our extended family. I intend to give this to my son when he marries.

  8. What a neat skill that will serve her well all her life, and what a neat treasure to save the recipes in such a way!

  10. Guess what! I am organizing my cookbook/notebook right now. It is all over my kitchen table and has been for 2 days.

I will finish today, going through recipes, saving, tossing, categorizing. Mine is not nearly as lovley and not so much a keepsake as a practical organizing tool. But our minds are in the same place these days. Scary, eh?

I love your idea. If I had a daugher I'd be tearing mine apart right now and going for your look. I think it is wonderful. What a tresure.

  11. This is so precious! I love it. Someday I will do the same. And in many ways my adoption fundraiser cookbook is the start of this.

I think it's so amazing that in a day and age when kids can just throw a freezer burrito in the microwave to see kids still enjoy creating a meal says a lot!
