Full Lunar Eclipse....

In the wee hours of Tuesday morning... yes I was still awake since Monday morning...... what was I doing awake ??? I was working on my dolls of course. well, I got to see this beautiful sight. I was so happy to have been awake to see it... I didn't want to waken the children's slumber, nor hubby's, so I took it all in visually by my lonesome. I wish I would have waken them now.....

A total eclipse of the Moon occured during the early morning of Tuesday, August 28, 2007. The event is widely visible from the United States and Canada as well as South America, the Pacific Ocean, western Asia and Australia. During a total lunar eclipse, the Moon's disk can take on a dramatically colorful appearance from bright orange to blood red to dark brown and (rarely) very dark gray.

  1. Early Tuesday evening the three of us was admiring the moon here in South Africa.
It was 'massive', bright dark yellow. Is all how I can describe it. Unfortunately I was not able to take a photo.
My son told us: Wait,I am taking photos.
(those photos no one can ever take from you or be destroyed by fire. The ones staying in ones 'heart')

I do understand the not wanting to wake them and them feel, maybe I should have.
I am new here, want to go see whether I can find any of you r doll.

  2. What wonderful pictures! I don't know why I didn't try to view the eclipse myself. I normally am a nut about such things.

I can relate to about wondering if waking others would have been better, but sometimes its OK. I'm sure you were able to marvel in God's glorious work in peace and that was a blessing too.
