Clean Sweep...

We got home from the beach the other day and the sand is now EVERYWHERE!
Hard, hard as we tried not to bring sand in the house...
without fail it is everywhere...even places,
I have no clue how it got there.
Sweep, sweep, sweep....
My broom is wearing an apron. I got the idea from a recent issue of Mary Jane's Farm...
though their version is just a cover on the broom.
I am using an apron that I made my daughter several years back. Now it is too small....
It looks pretty cute on our broom. Gee it makes sweeping a little more fun even..
( well maybe not! )

Well, I guess I shall go and sweep some more.
I think I spot sand on my shoes...
And these shoes didn't even step foot on the beach. Go figure!
Have a Happy Thursday!

  2. Oh my gosh! I LOVE that idea. I am not going to buy me a straw broom. I don't particularly like them because I think they are ugly. Well your's sure don't look ugly at all girl! I would even frame that pic and hang it in my kitchen I love it so much, lol. Seriously! I would!

  4. What a cute idea for the broom. Anything to cheer you up when you have work to do. It is hard to get rid of all the sand.
    Have a blessed day.

  6. Mica,
I just wanted to come over and thank you for your wonderful comments. Yes I have checked out your other blogs-I'll have to show you my sock monkey collection soon. I am enjoying your sowing box blog and can't wait to see your next squares. Have a great week end! By the way-love the broom.

  7. Oh, Mica...this is the cutest broom I have ever seen. I am going to have to make a child’s apron for mine to take to the beach in August when we have our every-three-year - family-get-together. My 3 children and 6 grandchildren are all spread out from the east to the Pacific Northwest so those 3 years visits mean the world to me. Taking that boom will be the hit of the trip...I just know it. Thanks for the idea, and I, too, think you would frame the photo and hang tin your kithen. Hugs, Genie
