Literary Tea

This last Saturday we were cordially invited to a Literary Tea hosted by our young lady friend Avery. When she was a young maiden in the making our dear friend Sabrina took her along with our other young girlfriend Marliee and read classic literature while sipping tea & eating scones together. Avery just graduated High School this year and decided she wanted to carry on the legacy to the young girls from Church. And... that she has started with our Kick Off  Literary Tea Party.
The first book is titled
Jessica's First Prayer, by  Hesba Stretton in 1867.
It was a wonderful story!

They made the most magical Tea Party for our Daughters.
The fancy tableware was set out with tea pots, cups, and dishes.
 Everything was delightfully divine.

There were muffins, sandwhiches, scones,
three different teas
 and chocolate!

Avery read the whole book with a little break in between to
eat the chocolate mousse that Sabrina made.  YUM!

It was a blessed time of Literature, tea,  fellowship and friendship.
We are looking forward to the next Literary Tea in September!

  1. Hi Mica :)

Thank you sooo much for keeping my dad in your thoughts and prayers ♥♥ His surgery went really well and he is recovering nicely. I just put a little update on my blog to :)

I have really missed visiting your blog and reading just a little bit of it today brought such joy to my heart. What a wonderful outing the Literary Tea must have been. I can just imagine sitting and listening while sipping on tea :) I must remember this for when my daughter is a little bit older.

Thank you again and I hope to pop over and catch up some more soon.
    Big hugs,
    Rosina
