What's Cookin'



This Summer we have been cookin' up a storm.
We canned our apricots... and made apricot jam too!
We also made strawberry jam earlier this Summer



This last week we made scrumptious cherry jam...
Yum!


I also made a batch of strawberry & peach balsamic salsa
 especially for our grilled lamb chops (grass fed), a recipe from the
 newest issue (Aug~Sept) of Mary Jane's Farm.
Good stuff!
I paired it with small red potato mash.

 



And... of course this last weekend I made homemade waffles
and a lovely lemon cake with butter cream & marshmallow
center for my daughters birthday.
It was a hit!
Thank you Sabrina...for the lovely eggs your chickens lay!

 


On Monday we did some more Jammin' at my friends house.
 Delicious plums which adorned her tree became the prettiest jam ever!


I think we are pretty much set for Winter!
It has really been fun and rewarding  learning new recipes
and using the most natural ingredients.
 Next on the list is canning Rose jam and
 veggies!
