We're back in session this week.... Another year.. It is hard to believe that I have been Home Schooling my kids for the last 10 years... They are getting so big. Mr. Darling also started his 3rd year in Seminary last week. it amazes me how time flies. We are all looking forward to this school year...
This year my son Maestro is getting his drivers licence and studying for his SAT/ college career as well as his normal lessons such as The Bible, Algebra II, Biology, American History, Language Arts, Classics, Civics, Home Economics, Theory in Music, and Greek. He is also applying for jobs around the area... He has a job interview at In~N~Out on Monday...
Freckles will be studying The Bible, Math skills, Language Arts, Classics,
Nature Studies, Farming History & American History,
Science, Art ( sewing ), Home Economics,
Mother & Daughter Character Study, Piano Lessons and Greek.
Freckles wanted a lunch box this year for her lunches...
We picked up this cute Mary Englebriet Lunch Box
over the Summer at garage sale for $2.00.
It is utterly adorable.
She was surprised to find her lunch in it...
Which she even found a sweet flower sandwich I left for her.
Happy back to school, I love HSing. I can not imagine a different life. I had some awful HSer go off today that they HS becuase of how bad PS is. I was rude cut them off and said even if we lived next to a perfect school, we would HS. It is a joy for us. They did not say much after that

Mica....Like I have said before, I may be a public school teacher, but I am so proud of you for making the sacrifice for home school your children. You are to be commended. What a wonderful education they are going to have in the end. All of you girls who have made the choice to teach your children yourselves are special in a unique and wonderful way. I have the greatest respect for all of you.
ReplyDeleteHugs and best wishes for a wonderful year full of love and learning...

I second that! We are on our 17th year of homeschooling, with only 2 (of 4) now left at home, 13 and 17. It is so much more than just an educational choice -- it's our lifestyle -- and we live in what's considered the best school district in the county, but I wouldn't trade our years together for anything!
