A Childhood Christmas Memory

I don't know if it was the many years of moving around or what, but I confess I don't remember many of my childhood memories or most of my Christmas memories. Perhaps I blocked them out, or I just can't pin point where and when things took place due to the fact I can't even count on my fingers how many times we moved. Yet, I do remember this Christmas...Maybe it is these pictures that help me to remember,I was probably almost or about two years old. My parents got me this little tomato character which was a little train. I remember holding this brilliant red toy and playing with it. No wonder I am so attracted to red!
I remember pulling it around the carpet...
It must have been one of my favorite gifts that year. I can still see it it my mind...
Too bad I don't have that toy anymore.

Oh that robe! I love it...Thanks Mom.....
I really wish I still had that robe too!
 It is so stinkin' cute
and so me, might I add.
Man! If only I can find one just like it but in my size.
Well, there are several nice Christmas memories
I have tucked in my heart somewhere I promise...
yet, so very sad many years seem to be erased.
I wish to remember my childhood Christmas'.
Maybe that is why it is so important to me to make
sure my children have lot's of traditions and memories...
I pray they will never forget!

  1. What a cutie! I'd like a robe like that too. LOL! It is nice to have the photos to help us remember. I really don't remember a lot of individual Christmases. It's more of a general memory of big family gatherings, all of my cousins spending the night at grandma's and everyone getting those new pj's and robes Christmas eve!
Loved your tablescape on the previous post.

Such a sweet post Mica...I loved seeing you as a little girl...I too have little of my childhood memories..lots of moves for me too and drama...I believe I suppress many memories...many I chose not to remember. I am thankful for a few good memories I do have though...you were such an adorable baby...and so beautiful now as a grown woman...blessings

  6. Mica, what a sweetie pie you were and ARE! I often think of the special gifts I got when I was a child and how very much they meant to me. Like you, they are long gone, but live on as treasures in my mind and heart. XXOO
