Professor Pennypickle's Imagination Workshop....

My kids and I had a day out to the Museum... That's the nice thing about home schooling my kids....We can just take off to go on a field trip whenever the whim. It was an educational time off from the books, and well deserved hence we have not been on a field trip for some time. freckles had been dying to go to this Children's museum in our town..So we did. Welcome to
 Professor Pennypickle's Imagination Workshop.

Yup, these are my kids. Gotta love them!
They really love to mess with their Mama!

Okay that's better!
(Beaker...The Professor's Mouse)
Okay so, about Professor Phineas Pennypickle... when he was a child, he was fascinated with imagination and invention. He envisioned ways to improve and revolutionize everything from electricity to communication to transportation. As his knowledge of the world, history, science, music, and art increased (from books, of course!), his house became filled with gizmos, gadgets, stuff, stuff, and more stuff. His entire home became his workshop and laboratory. His experiments in time travel are the most interesting. From the time machine in his Library, Phineas has been able to travel throughout history to meet other famous inventors and scientists. His hand was in nearly every historic invention that mankind has known, and his friendships with Marconi, Edison, Houdini, and others are legendary. He is the author of several books on time travel (as seen in his Library at Pennypickle's Workshop) and his inventions like the "Illusionator", the "Philharmonicamatic" and the "Electrolight-o-later" are worth making a special trip to see.
And oh, yes, almost forgot...the Professor has a fabulous sense of humor. His "Recycler-er" stomps on empty cans with an old boot and a bag of cement, he has transformed his toilet into a hydroelectric generator, the fireplace in the Library is actually a secret passage into the mysterious Maze Room, and his Peanut Butter & Jelly Sandwich-Making-Machine has to be seen to be believed.
Lost in his world of imagination, Phineas is somewhat reclusive...not that he intends to be. He loves to think that he may be the inspiration for a new generation of thinkers and inventors.

The decor was so fun and funky...
We loved every bit of it !!!

We surely got lost in
 never ending time tunnels.

The library was one of my faves...\
There was a huge purple chair and a time travel chair as well as a time worm hole...
we learned about some gravity pull and got to roam around the professors books.

The glow in the dark maze was
 aMAZEing...

Maestro made lights power up by
 cranking the toilet.
Ummmm!

There were lot's of interactive things to do through the halls and on the walls...
peek through a window and see a hallway that never seems to end...interesting!

Oh yes, Maestro's favorite spot was the music room.
That's my boy!

Gotta love this old Singer sewing machine transformed into a record player....
 I want one!

Into the retro kitchen..Lot's of things to do in here...
We played with the eartquake machine!
This was another fave of mine...

We monkeyed around in the mechanical room
with the levers and pulleys and stuff...
Pretty fun spot to hang out in!

Up, up and away we flew into this room full of facts about flight and air....
This was Freckles favorite place...
Though she did say she loved the whole place...
It was hard to choose a favorite!

Well that was fun...If you are ever in my town you gotta take your kids here..It was voted as the best Children's Museum...I have to say it was one of the best Children's Museums I have been to!
Hope you liked joining us...Have a wonderful day!!!
