One week late,Only 6 hours of labor, 30 minutes of pushing, at 1:03 p.m.,
our son entered the world with the sweetest tiny cry ever.
They swooped up and swaddled our 9 pound 11 oz.,
21 1/2 inch long baby in a soft blanket and layed him on my chest.
It was love at first sight!
In a blink of an eye, he turns seventeen today.
Where is that little boy?
He's still here...Just in a bigger size!
No matter how old he gets...He will always be that little baby boy.

Happy Birthday maestro! (is that how you spell that?) in another blink he'll be even more grown and leaving the nest.. its the oddest feeling..... but you have some more time yet. i'm sure youre making him his favoite cake and dinner! have a lovely day!

Happy birthday to him! Children growing and leaving the nest is indeed the oddest feeling. My #2 daughter just graduated from college and moved this week to Austin to take a job. So strange not having her here in the same city. #3 just has one more year before college and then I'll only have one here at home, after 23 years of having 2-4 children at home.
