First Day Of School 2014~2015

Summer seemed kind of long for some reason, but the time has finally come to pick back up with school. A new year of learning and growing and figuring out our rhythm. We ended up being one of the late registering families for Live Oak Academy this year...So we only just ordered the books in hopes we get them all before next week. We did our shopping for the other essentials, we picked up a new lunch bags and cute bags that have insulation in them...And just like a womans purse a girl must switch out her lunch accessories once in a while. We have a Daiso Japan store which is by far my favorite place to get cute stuff...It's way better than the old dollar store stuff . I mean c'mon, you wouldn't see this cute stuff at the Dollar Tree.

Enough of that... We got prepared as much as we could without the books she needed before her first day of school. Today was her first day....Our day begins by waking at 5:45~ 6:00 ( which we are not used to at all) I made some yummy zucchini muffins and a spinach fruit smoothie for breakfast. We headed out the door by 7:00 to get to her classes on time. Classes start at 7:30 and end at 3:00 on Mondays and 2:00 on Wednesdays. For us it is a longer day than we are used to since all the years we have home schooled, our days lessons were completed in 3~5 hours. It will be a good challenge for us all...A whole new routine will take some getting used to, especially after the long Summer we had.

My girl was excited. Yet, she had some butterflies swirling around in her tummy. We picked her up and learned of her day and the new people she met as well as the possible friendships with certain girls that may blossom. I was over the moon for her. She was in great spirits and felt that she fit in nicely. Her favorite class is with Mrs. Mayer/ Literature/Composition/Humanities. She raved about how fun and bubbly she was and how cute her classroom was decorated. My heart sings with joy for her...Just knowing the hard times we have endured the last couple years...And now she will finally have an opportunity to feel she fits in and is loved by her peers and others as well as gaining confidence and mastering some hard things as she will have a full load of schoolwork and juggle her Speech Club as well. I know she will do just fine. We will help her and guide her through this new endeavor and make sure she succeeds in her academics as she works hard on campus and works the remaining three days at home finishing her assignments.

Here is to a great 2014~2015 school year.
CHEERS!!!
