Summer Ombre Highlights

We kicked off the Summer with some ombre highlights for Freckles. She ha wanted to do this for over a year now...So, we treated her to a fun salon trip in celebration of finishing up her last year of Jr. High. It is dramatic yet natural looking which is just what we were looking for. Freckles is so excited...and looking sassy!

I think she looks amazing with the highlights! It brings out her beautiful big eyes and gorgeous porcelain skin. It's subtle yet striking!

Here's to Summer!!!!!

Cotton Candy & Coloring Your Hair With Chalk Pastels...

A couple weeks ago our friends came over with a cotton candy maker machine. It was pretty fun making it. Not to mention it matched Freckles hair. This post led me to share just how we colored her hair in yummy colors...without the commitment of really dying her hair...

She found the tutorial here at
 The Beauty Department.
Read the directions carefully....It was easy,
fun and added a whimsical touch to a cute outfit....
And we were able to wash it out.

Happy coloring. Be sure to stop in Wednesday...

Tutorial Tuesday...Summer Nights Braid

As promised my sweet Freckles and I put together this fun tutorial for hair. She found this on a blog she enjoys reading...So we thought we would share our version of Summer Nights.

Supplies: bobby pins, small wildflowers (real or faux).
***
1. Start with your hair down.
 2. First, take a small strand from each side of your head close to your ear,
wrap it around to the opposite side and pin in place.
3~4. Repeat this process two more times, creating six strands crossing back and forth.
 5. Next, create a semi-loose braid with the rest of your hair.
6. Lastly, add flowers throughout your braid.
****
Have a lovely Summer Night.
