It's Official...

I am  now a year older today....

Youch! I am coming up to the top of the hill.LOL

This last week I have been extra tired too! 

Time to go in for that B~12 shot again!

Yet, though I feel really tired I have been cursed with insomnia.

I couldn't sleep the other night so I decided to paint a picture. 

 By the time I was finished it was already 5:30 in the A.M !

It turned out pretty cute, I am still going to add a saying to it where it looks blank...

That was purposeful..

I hope to do a few more paintings and finish the bee dolls 

I started, which seems like forever ago. 

Then I hope to put it all in my shop !

I am going to enjoy my day with better half and my sweet children.

I will share later what they got me for my birthday.

I am so blessed to have the little family I do.

They sure to brighten my days!

Can you see the little birdlings in this bush? 

They were so cute and singing the sweetest tunes.

I think it may have been the birthday song.

SHHHHHH !!!

It's my birthday weekend....

Another year has gone by so quickly and hard to believe that I am still 28....

I have been 28 for a while now. 

LOL

I'd like to keep it that way.

But, I can't tell you my secret. 

Okay I will. 

The secret to staying young is being humble, cheerful and laugh a lot!

Plus exercise and eating better.

That's the goal at least.

So if you want to look 10 years longer...

just follow that and you'll be good.

You know what else really helps...

putting on a little make- up and dressing up for your HONEY!

Well...on another note.

My (GOD) garden left me a wonderful birthday gift!

I got all these beautiful yellow roses.

They are gorgeous. 

And even looks sweet right next to the new painting I did.

While we're here I thought I would give 

you a little glimpse of a corner of our home.

This is the armoire in the family room which we keep Miss Freckles school books & supplies in... 

I painted the inside doors with chalkboard paint so that

she can write her spelling lists and do math problems on. 

I put just a few of my favorite things on top...that give me a smile.

On the walls I hung  pictures and art work from friends 

as well as Miss Freckles sweet drawing.

I love it!

Shaping Up In The New Year

Rarely do I have pictures of myself on my blog.
I guess you can say I am self conscious of getting
it taken and sharing my flaws.
Sounds silly really.
Well, anyway, I thought I would share my new haircut for the year.
I haven't had it cut since Mothers Day.
You can say, as a Mother, I am usually
the last one to do anything for myself.
So I let things go.
They cut off a good 4-5 inches off!
Then I came home and gave it a fresh coloring
to cover up those little pesky nuisances.
Now this is gonna sound off the wall but I went into
the drug store to buy some cold medicine...
and the clerk asked me if I was over 18!
What.... are you kidding me!
Yeah really... I was shocked..
number one I didn't know you had to be
over 18 to buy cold medicine..and two,
I was with my 15 year old son and she
thought maybe I wasn't old enough
( I don't even get carded anymore).
It must be the hair and the color and the way I was dressed...
I don't know...I am just flattered .
Oh to be that young again!
In a couple years I am going to be 40!

Well, I tell ya, the haircut made me feel great and
the new outfit my sweet Sister In Law bought me...
really did the trick.
(GRIN) (WINK)
Well, for this year ahead I plan to keep up with
getting my hair done more often, going to the gym to lose those
unwanted pounds that crept up on me and get into shape !
I promised my self and ( Mr. Darling ) to keep up with my
routine around the house and with the kids.
not to mention keep smiling, laughing and enjoying life!

Because this life is surely a blessing.

My Silly Birthday Give Away.....

Well the big day is in a few more days...so why not celebrate ! I thought it would be fun to give a gift for my Birthday this year. I put together a little something silly.... as you can see here, most of you know I love monkeys...Sock Monkey's especially !!

One name will be chosen to receive this sock monkey I made, two prints of original paintings I made of sock monkey's, a polka dot journal, magnets and comfy sock monkey slipper socks...

I chose these items because, to me this is all comfort things. I am the type of gal who loves to wear Jammie's and slippers all day....These are just a few of my favorites and thought I would share that with someone else.So... leave me a comment here or on my other blog
