Vintage Apron Swap Update.....

With all the hectic deadlines and Summer fun.... the Vintage Apron swap has come to an end. My partner
made me this fun Summer apron. I really love the colors she chose !!! I just love the huge pockets with the added yo yo.....

She added in a few extra goodies, towels with coordinating fabric from the apron and a sweet coupon pocketbook. Isn't that sweet?

For her apron I chose the shabby chic feminine look. She had told me she loves pink as well. So, I made this apron reversible.

I found a lovely vintage hankie I used as a pocket and darling eyelet fabric trim for the bottom edge.

Here is a photo of the reverse side in PINK !!!

I also added in a gingham vintage half apron and goodies for her. I hope she will enjoy her apron, as I will enjoy mine. It was fun to make !!!
Thank you again to all the ladies who joined in. I am seeing pictures all over blog land with your aprons. They are all so wonderful !!!
P.S. Thank you to my Late Great Grandmother Emilijha
( a talented seamstress whom made her own clothes )
for passing on the genes to sew without patterns.
I couldn't find the pattern I bought, so had to make this up as I went along !!!

  3. What beautiful aprons Mica!! I have not heard from my swap partner in a while. Perhaps she thinks England is too far to swap to, and I can't say that I blame her one bit!
