In Apron Angels ???

I got this sweet package in the mail today by total surprise from an Angel.

During the Summer I joined my friend's Apron Swap and sadly never received my apron from my partner. I know, sad huh ?

Well, I haven't joined any swaps since. I pour my heart out to receive nothing in return. It's supposed to be a swap. Well, I truly have forgotten about it and wrote it off as a sad occasion.

I opened the package today and there was an apron !!!! Made in my favorite colors just for me from an Apron Angel of course. This Angel found out through my friend that I was flaked on during this Swap and took it upon herself to make little 'ole me an apron... just because, for no reason at all.

I am so thrilled and love this apron !!!!

Now do you believe in Apron Angels ??

Vintage Apron Swap Update.....

made me this fun Summer apron. I really love the colors she chose !!! I just love the huge pockets with the added yo yo.....

She added in a few extra goodies, towels with coordinating fabric from the apron and a sweet coupon pocketbook. Isn't that sweet?

For her apron I chose the shabby chic feminine look. She had told me she loves pink as well. So, I made this apron reversible.

I found a lovely vintage hankie I used as a pocket and darling eyelet fabric trim for the bottom edge.

I also added in a gingham vintage half apron and goodies for her. I hope she will enjoy her apron, as I will enjoy mine. It was fun to make !!!

Kit The American Girl Movie & A New Vintage Style Dress...

Earlier this week my Daughter and I had a girls day out to the movies. She chose Kit Kitterage An American Girl from the 30's. We both loved the movie. It was sweet and touching taking you back to a sad time of the Depression. I loved the costumes. The girls dresses and the aprons the mother wore. So sweet. After the movie we went to her favorite book store Book WorKs. We found out their having a Kit American Girl Party on the 25th.

Last Winter during another American Girl party she dressed up as Felicity from the Colonial period.

So.... Mama had to make her a dress for the Kit party. Here it is !!!

I think she is beautiful !!! She loves the dress. I will share pics. after the party !!!

The kids and I had a lovely day on Whidbey Island with our friends in their Beach House. It was fun filled with sun , combing the beach, splashing in the water and sinking in quick sand. We started the morning off on a Ferry ride over.. fun, fun, fun !!!

We played, we visited and strolled the low tide finding barnacles, sand dollars, crabs, shells and much more !!! The view is breathtaking in every direction.


We had a lovely lunch, munched on juicy cherries & sipped yummy green tea blackberry frapucinnos.
Yum !!!!
