Hello

HELLO.....
I finally pulled out the sewing machine this week...I made a few pillows. Which is a good jump start to my lost creative spark. I made this sweet, happy pillow for my little writer....Freckles has been writing some short story book series all on her vintage typewriter she got for her birthday last year. She loves it so much, I thought....The pillow would be perfect for her... Unfortunately she has been really under the weather this week with yet another flu...She was supposed to spend a nice get away week with her bestie, when suddenly, everyone got sick...We had to pick her up only a couple days into her visit...Now we are thinking she might have strep throat too...so we are going to the doctors to get it checked out. Since she has been home she has been very lethargic, sleeping a lot and plain ole miserable...Hopefully she will soon be on the mend and back to writing/typing away. 

 

Well anyway, the pillow did cheer her up a bit....And it looks darling on her bed....Rory, her owl agrees. I decided to offer this pillow as a special order for anyone who is interested. I will also be listing it on Etsy as a made to order pillow for $25.00 & $5.00 shipping. Fabric colors and prints will vary or you may give me a color pallet request. Anyone interested,

This That & The Other

We have been enjoying these cooler mornings with a nice cup of tea or Chai. Staying nice and cozy, bundled up a bit, I have been getting some projects finished up, preparing for upcoming events schooling my sweet daughter, taking care of business and orders from my shop
and enjoying the quiet evenings with my DH & DD
( Dear Hubby & Dear Daughter).
And...Missing my son.

A favorite Fall time lunch... hands down is a bowl of  hot creamy tomato soup and a grilled cheese sandwich. I have the perfect recipe for how I make my sandwich. Just take two slices of your favorite bread and butter one side of each with a honey butter mixture then sprinkle some garlic seasoning on each buttered side. Place a lovely slice of sharp cheddar and a slice of aged Swiss between the bread with butter sides up...Grill on a hot medium temp. flame and you have a delish cheesy sandwich to dip into that creamy soup.  Now that's what I am talking about.

My son is still in Washington...It has been 5 weeks....Counting down three more weeks till he is home again. He has faithfully called us everyday to check in...He's having a great time with friends and got to spend a weekend with my dad. He has also been working, cutting down trees, chopping them up, hauling out shrubs, building fencing for garden beds and even some roof work. He said he is not missing home just his family and he would love to move back to Washington. He sent me these pictures....The beautiful scenery of the town we lived in (sigh) and his sweet mug shot.
 I am so missing that boy of mine.

I finished up a couple orders for my happy bunting pillows. I just had to express my utter thankfulness to having the opportunity to make something happy for someone else. The extra orders have helped out tremendously. Just when we are starting to worry about where that next months rent will come from or how the heck we will pay a bill or buy toilet paper. We are blessed with an order to cover one of those needs. God is good and He surely provides through so many wonderful ways. So, as I was cheerfully sewing these pillows together, I stopped to thank God for His provisions no matter how great or small.

 Even the small helps.
