20 Years

I married my best friend 20 years ago today.
It amazes me how time has flown by us so quickly. We have been through a lot together over the years. And I would surely do it all over again. Of course from the many years of learning these life lessons, I would want to do it even better. God gave us what He did and He knows what was and is best for us. We have grown through all the ups and downs, the losses, the pains but most of all we have grown in faith, in love, trust and the joys. We are not perfect, that is for certain, we admit those flaws, and try to be better everyday and sometimes it can be a struggle. It is hard work. But so very worth it. I wouldn't trade it for the world. Our flaws are stitched together with good intentions. It is amazing to me that God put us two together a little over 20 years ago for His own glory. He brought us to Him, together as we professed our faith in Jesus. He gifted us two beautiful children & one in heaven, and He carried us through trials and the best of this life. The outcome has been rewarding. Our faith in Him has grown as He has also led us to serve Him and His church. My wonderful husband is a man of God. He is my hero. An awesome husband, a delightful father and so easy to love. I am blessed, for God has given me such wonderful gifts.
I pray God will continue to bless our marriage in the years to come, that we would only grow closer, that I would be the best help meet I can possibly be to such a great man who is devoted and  loves me and our children unconditionally. I look forward to the next many years with this sweet man...A faithful husband indeed, my true love and the bestest friend
anyone could ever ask for.

Here is to many more.
I love you Mr. Darling
Forever and always!

Our Valentines Day Party....

It's Valentines Day...I had to do something for my little family even though we are all sick with pneumonia. I mustered up the energy to set the table and baked a chocolate heart cake for our Valentine dessert later tonight after a nice lasagna, salad and garlic bread dinner.

I put together a simple table with reds, white and black...a felt heart garland with vintage Valentine cards in the window, hearts in soda bottles, a few messages of love on chalkboards and the key to my heart.

Wishing you and yours a Happy Heart Day
filled with lots of Hugs and Kisses.
XOXOXO
23. For God's Love & Sacrafice to me
24. For the sweetest husband who makes homemade Valentines cards.
25. The fun loving family dinner when everyone is laughing
26. For chocolate cake...It's not supposed to be in the house,
but Valentines Day was an excuse to make it...and I got away with it too.

Little Glimmers Of Red....

I took these pics. from a recent antique shop spree. We only window shopped, yet it was fun...I love window shopping, especially if I can take a picture of it. The sweet plaque above screamed sweet to me. A little Hummel style farm girl with chickies...too cute.
The stuffed chenille pups are so soft and darling may I add,
it gave me a little smile.

I am a sucker for old flour, sugar tins...
this one is cheerfully cherry!

Another pup...this one is leather...He is so cute,
I bet he would just love for someone to take him for a walk.

And hearts of course...
 I love hearts!

This little embroidered towel made
me only think of my Mr. Darling.
I love my man!
True words from the above picture...
Let your HEART be glad this day!!!

A Valentine Blessing

In our house, Valentines Day is everyday.
We truly wouldn't know
LOVE
if it were not for what Christ did for His people.
It puts me in awe when I think of how much God
LOVES
those who believe in Him.
Our faith is in Him alone and for that we are blessed.

Though we are still trying to settle in our new home
with no time to bake Valentines this year,
we just picked up some scrumptious soft
sugar cookies with frosting and oodles of sprinkles from the bakery.
Oh, and what is Valentines without these little heart candies.
These have been around for like ever since I can remember!

We are spending our Valentines Day with our Church family.
A delightful day at Church,
filling our hearts with
LOVE
and our souls with the Spirit.
May you have a blessed day filled with
LOVE
With those you
LOVE!
HAPPY VALENTINES DAY

"Spread The Love"

From earliest childhood,Victorians learned the value of friendship. Hand in hand, young girls ventured forth to gather wildflowers to press and make into gift cards; together they learned how to decorate the home and cook nourishing meals. They pored over ladies' magazines and studied their wardrobes, all the while forming strong bonds that would last them through courtship, marriage and the rearing of their own broods. Girlfriends were often called "Sister," implying heartfelt intamacy.

"Do You know what friendship is ? - Yes- it is to be as brother and sister, two souls which touch eachother without meeting, like two fingers on the same hand."

XOXOXOXO

My Favorite Things.....

Tiany from Less of Me More Of Him is hosting her Blogversary Party... everyone is sharing their favorite things... join me and many others in a fun little fieldtrip through favorite things...

Ultimately I love God, as he has also blessed me with a life filled with the things that mean the most to me. I have been blessed with a wonderful husband and two delightful children. I adore the little pets he has given us to care for as well. My family means a lot to me. I am blessed to be home with my children all their waking hours , to be their mom, their teacher and sometimes even a play mate. I love to Home School my children and to play games with them. To watch them grow, to hear their voices when they speak and to watch them at play is at the top of my favorite things.

I have also been blessed with an eye for art. I adore art in all mediums. I love to make things like dolls and clothes & such. I love to sew, to embroider and paint. I love to bake, I love to look at books, I love the Victorian Era, I love movies, I love music, I love chocolate, I love Sock Monkeys, I love anything old like old photographs, antique dolls, and old quilts. I love old books, old paintings, old jewelery and poetry. I thank God every day for these things. I thank God that He is my God.
My Favorite movies :
Somewhere In Time
Miss Potter
Anne Of Green Gables
Little Women
Fairy Tale
Tuck Everlasting
and many more... I can't even think of them all right now.
My favorite perfumes are:
Escape
Eternity
Tea Rose
Sunflowers
White Shoulders ( Reminds me of My Great Gramma )
Oh I could go on..... I hope you had a lovely time here in our little blog. Hope to see you again !!! Blessings !!!
