Another Move.....

I know, I now....It seems like we are always on the move. And that is ow I feel. However, we knew this last move would be a temporary stay for Mr. Darling's internship. That internship ended last June, but we decided to stay a little longer to figure out things while he was finishing up all his exams and ordination this Fall. The time has come to make the move to the area where our Church Plant resides. We will finally get to plug into our new community and spend better quality time with our church family as we labor together. We found a new house just minutes from our church and church family. So excited to find something so central.

The house is a brand new build. It will be nice to have new again. The last home we had brand spank-en new was back in 2003 when we bought our first home in Washington. It will be nice to have all new everything. I can't wait to get my hands on our new blank canvas this coming weekend. I have been busy sorting, purging, trashing, donating, giving away and packing our belongings. I have three more days to have this place ready for our help that comes Saturday morning.

And I am freaking out a little here. Mr. Darling can't do a whole lot because of his back, his shoulder and his knee that will need surgery soon. So it's up to me to pack up the house. Freckles too is helping by packing up her belongings. Moving is not fun...Just waiting for it to be over so we can start fresh for the New Year! Sorry for the bad pictures...They were from my phone. Will share our new home with you soon!!!!

With Lot's Of Caffine.....

We made it through the LONG journey from Northern Washington to Southern California packed in our car with the kids and dog!!! Hours and hours passed by. We got through almost all of Oregon in one day.

We stayed in a Hotel that welcomed doggies. Missy was in heaven on her bed for the night. It was a really nice place. We got lot's of rest and coffee in the morning to keep me going the rest of the way.

If you know me... I am not huge on driving long distances. The next day I drove 14 hours straight. It was Mr. Darling who kept me focused. I just knew he was in our new home awaiting our arrival. So I really pushed myself like never before.

It paid off !!! We were home in only a day and a half of driving. I am proud of myself and for my kids. They were the best company... they never once complained. It was just great !!! So now we are HOME !!!

The first night it all caught up to me. I crashed hard with exhaustion from packing, stress and traveling. I ended up really sick for the whole first week. The kids got sick too !!! We still had so much to do... painting the house, our friends were coming with the moving truck. All the unpacking.... I am so drained. It's not all finished yet. I am just thankful to God He brought us here safely. Soon we will be setteled and organized. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers !!!

We're Almost Finished !!!

The first room to be completely packed was my daughter's. It was a lot of work since she seems to be the one with the most stuff. My friend Susan and I took down her bed. I looked so empty. Even Missy ( Our Dog) looked a bit confused as to why her bed was against the wall. Missy has slept in my little girls bed ever since we brought her home.

We have been non stop packing for the most part... taking all the packed boxes into the garage , which will hopefully help out the movers on Tuesday !!!

Yup !!! We are only a few days away from leaving our little home here in the Great North West. I can't believe it !!! I plan to drive me, the kids and the dog all the way, with short breaks and Hotel nights. Soon to be in the arms of Mr. Darling once again !!! There is still much work to be done. Saturday will be a big work day as Church friends are coming over to help with the yard and last minute things. The house will be prepared to rent out to someone. I pray to find someone suitable to stay here while we are away. More to come !!!
P.S. Part II of The Glass Museum coming as soon as I get the pics. from my friends camera !!!

Pack..Pack...Pack....

There are no words to describe the WORK put into packing a house up, to move three states over. My friends came back to help me pack today. There was a lot done, but seems like so much more to go. It just seems endless.

Tomorrow we will break for the day and visit the Glass Mueseum with our friends. Then it's back to work !!!!

So off I go to pack, pack, pack some more before I go to bed !!!

We Got The Home.. Now We Must Move....

Great news !!!
We got the house from the previous post !!!
Thank you to all my wonderful friends and family for your prayers. I just can't wait to get everything all packed up and move to a new home. This will be quite an adventure.
Well this house is 2000 square feet, with wood and tiles floors, carpeting in the bedroom. There are three bedrooms, office, schoolroom, studio, large back yard and two car garage. It's only a short little five minute walk for Mr. Darling to go to school!!!
Praise God !!! It will be just right for our little family as my dear Hubby studies.
Today a couple of friends came over and helped me pack a bunch of boxes.... There is already a huge noticeable dent in the house thus far with packed boxes all in the garage. It is so crazy to see how much one accumulates in just a few years !!! Especially when it's your own family. Well. I will keep y'all posted with our news and move which could very well be after this coming weekend.
Thank you again for the prayers and your warm thoughts of our new beginning.
P.S The lovely pillows in the pictures are made by a blog artist friend from Red Shoes.. I don't own them... Just want them. hee hee.

I Need More Hands....

Okay, I know this is a really weird picture... but this is exactly what I am in need of right now. Trying to juggle taking care of the kids, packing for our move, finishing up those last minute projects and juggling time with friends... wouldn't it be helpful to have many hands? Or a few of me at once would suffice. Well, I am frantically packing and sorting for this long distance move to California for a new life as Mr. Darling is preparing himself for Seminary. Please dear friends, I can really use your prayers to get through this.. Blessing to you in the coming week ahead. I'll keep you posted !!!
